Ivan Vershinin (born in 1945) is the former USSR Health Service exemplary worker. The Veteran of Labour. The doctor of higher degree. The mentor of young specialists.
Graduated from Irkutsk State Medical School in 1969. Worked at East Siberian Coal Medical Department in Cheremkhovo (Irkutskaya region) for 10 years. Since 1982 he has been working in Nerungri District Hospital, where he has found the radiology service.
He established a training center for radiologists. The staff of his department increased from 6 to 60 workers. He initiated more than 30 modern methods and technologies, including the unique ones for South Yakutia: angiography, thermography, clinical ultrasound, laminography, lithotripsy, endoscopic radiology.
