About the Project

YakutiaToday.Com is the website dedicated to the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), the biggest Russian region.

The mission is simple and hard at the same time. We, Yakutians, are eager to provide international audience a deep insight into the life of our land.

Living inhere, we cannot stand the fact that most outsiders consider Siberia or Far East as one geographic unit. This area – on the other side of the Ural Range – is actually divided into many different regions. Yakutia is among them and has a lot of unique stuff. It is more than just a huge territory, or wilderness, or the Gulag, or the Road of Bones, or frost…

We'd like to do our best and tell you a never-ending story about the world of Yakutia and its best people.

YakutiaToday.Com is launched by NGO “Sakha World XXI Century” with the help of Ministry of Youth Policy of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). Latter awarded a special grant.

Volunteers work on the content of the site.
